Clone info. A soluble fluorescent marker of the mitochondrial matrix. n1 is the appendage for fusion of a tandem repeat of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit VIII presequence to the N-terminus of StayGold. The gene for StayGold in this construct has been resynthesized with mammalian-preferred codons. See Hirano, M. et al., Nat. Biotechnol. 2022 doi: 10.1038/s41587-022-01278-2 for more information.
