Clone info. cDNA encoding the T7-tagged Slac2-a was subcloned into the NotI site of the modified pEF-BOS expression vector (J. Biol. Chem. (1994) 269, 29206-29211). Recombinant Slac2-a is localized on melanosomes through interaction with Rab27A and regulates melanosome transport in melanocytes. Expression was confirmed by depositor as follows: transfection into COS-7 cells followed by both immunoblotting and immunocytochemistry.
