| Clone info. | Expression vector of Artificial luciferase variant-49 (ALuc49) derived from the copepod gene database for mammalian cell imaging. See Fig. 3A of Kim, S.B. et al. ACS Comb. Sci. 19 (9): 594-599, 2017. |
| Comment | ALuc49 (GenBank: MF817976), the N-terminal end of which naturally comprises a secretion peptide (SP). To suppress the secretion nature, the C-terminal end was modified with an ER-localization signal (i.e., KDEL). This luciferase is supposed to be sequestered in the ER in mammalian cells after expression. Nevertheless, a low level of the luciferase is still secreted into the extracellular compartment. |
| Vector backbone | pcDNA3.1(+) (plasmid) |
| Size of vector backbone | 5.4 kb |
| Selectable markers | Ampicillin (E. coli), Neomycin (mammalian cell). |
| Growth conditions | LB+Amp, 37℃ |
| Gene/insert name | copepod Luciferase cDNA. |
| Reference of insert sequence | MF817976 (DDBJ accession number) |
