Comment The SpR gene confers spectinomycin resistance both in E. coli and Bifidobacterium longum 105-A. The depositor uses spectinomycin at a concentration of 75 microgram/mL for selection of transformants in agar media. B. longum 105-A (JCM 31944) is available from JCM as a host strain.
