Clone info. Shuttle vector to generate rAd by the two-cosmid rescue method with pAF16Rct (RDB no. 3220) and can also be used to generate fiber-modified rAd by the COS-TPC method.
pUAd5LCA is a derivative of pUAd5L (RDB 3444) that includes a CAG cassette [Niwa et al., Gene 108, 193-99, 1991], harboring a unique SwaI site as the cloning site for the gene of interest, at the E1 deletion (mu 1.0 to 9.3). It can be used to generate rAd by the two-cosmid rescue method with pAF16Rct (RDB no. 3220) and can also be used to generate fiber-modified rAd by the COS-TPC method [Miyake et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 93, 1320-24, 1996] without contamination of rAd that expresses wild-type fiber protein.
