Clone info. | A cassette cosmid for construction of a recombinant adenovirus expressing cDNA under the control of CAG promoter. |
Comment | The pAxCAwt cosmid [Miyake et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 93, 1320-24, 1996] is a derivative of pAxcw (RDB 917) and includes a cassette that consists of the expression unit under the control of a modified promoter of the chicken gene for beta-actin with a cytomegalovirus immediate-early enhancer (CMV-IE), designated the CA promoter [Niwa et al., Gene 108, 193-99, 1991], and a polyadenylation sequence from the rabbit gene for beta-globin (G polyA), namely a CAG cassette, with a unique SwaI site, cloned at the E1 deletion. The pAxCAwt cosmid can be used to generate recombinant adenovirus by the COS-TPC method [Miyake et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 93, 1320-24, 1996]. |
